Pint-size chefs in the kitchen

paula-deen-kids-cookbook.jpgRecognize any of these children pictured here on Paula Deen’s “My First Cookbook” due to be released Oct. 7?

We’ve been told the kids gracing the cookbook cover are from the Savannah area. And that they’re thrilled to be included on a Diva Deen cookbook and to have their picture in this week’s People magazine, in an article spotlighting the soon-to-be released kids cookbook.

Cookbooks and cooking classes for kids are big right now. Williams-Sonoma even has an entire division, wsKids, that specializes in kid-friendly kitchenware such as princess spatulas, backyard bugs cakelet pans and kid-size chef jackets with matching tocques.

Take a look at some of the latest kid cookbooks (conveniently available in our SouthernMamas Amazon.com boutique. Just click on the book title to visit the SouthernMamas boutique and place your order. In return, Amazon.com will jingle some change in the SouthernMamas tip jar.)
